The 2016 Town of Eclectic Municipal Election will be held on August 23, 2016. Below you will find the timeline that any interested candidate must follow.
Timeline:
May 25, 2016 - Last day to reside within the town limits
July 5 - Candidate Qualification Packages available for pick up at Town Hall
July 19 - All Candidate Qualification Packages must be turned in to Town Hall by 5 PM.
August 23 - Election day
August 30 - Official canvas of election results
November 7 - Newly elected members are sworn in at regular monthly council meeting.
The Basic requirements are as Follows:
1) All potential candidates must have primarily resided within the town limits of the Town of Eclectic Prior to May 26, 2016.
2) Potential candidates must pick up a candidate qualification package from town hall. Packets will be available beginning July 5.
3) Last day to qualify as a candidate is July 19 at 5 PM. ALL CANDIDATES MUST PRESENT COMPLETED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION PACKAGE AND ALL FEES* IN PERSON WITH A VALID PHOTO ID AT TOWN HALL, TOWN OF ECLECTIC..
4) All forms/documents must be filed with the appropriate county or state agencies by their respective deadline.
* Fee schedule: $30 for Mayoral candidates and $10 for Council Member candidates. Cash or check is accepted by the Town of Eclectic.

Appointment of Principal Campaign Committee - Elmore County Probate Office
Campaign Finance Report - Elmore County Probate Office
